So, there are three beasts that arise out of the sea. The sea is the people of the earth. The first was like a lion and had eagles’ wings. Then, as I looked, its wings were plucked off, and it was lifted from the ground and made to stand on two feet like a man, and the mind of a man was given to it. The eagle's wings are symbols of the USA, and the lion, the UK. There has been a very close relationship between these countries. The wings being plucked off speak of a violent act. The war for independence is too early.
I have heard a modern prophecy that says when the USA is attacked, it will ask the UK for help, but will not come. The lion standing on two feet is on the British flag. Not only the British flag but on many countries flags in the British Commonwealth. The beast itself has a spiritual being. It is never going to be fully involved in the EU, which is the third beast. Close ties, but not part of the leopard's body. If it does become part of the EU, then it must come out again, or Russia become part of the EU.
