This gives us some idea of how many angels there are. Thousands of thousands in Revelations, as opposed to Daniel saying a thousand, thousands. I once read that the estimated number was forty million, but that sounds a bit high from the description. It is in the millions, and because numbers are important, it will be one of the more important numbers. Revelations say thousands (plural) of thousands. So more than two thousand thousands but less than ten thousand thousands, as that would be a myriad. A myriad is 10,000. A third of the angels fell with Satan, so there is that number to possibly add in as well. There are not that many angels in relation to the number of people on earth today. In Revelations, far and away the most likely total number of angels is seven to ten million. At seven million losing a third is leaving around 4.7 million in heaven and 2.3 million being cast down. That number seems high to me. There is a very reasonable explanation for this problem; I just do not know it. However, let's do the best we can with the available information. The golden sashes on some angels show that there are different categories of angels. There appear to be three different groups of angels. Message-oriented ones, some that are task-oriented. The others are cosmic angels. The message angels, or the ones who serve him, are the ones that Daniel is talking about, and there are only a million of these. Jesus was dressed in white with a golden sash the same as these angels. There are seven angels standing before Jesus, who also had golden sashes, or archangels. So, one million message angels who serve Jesus. That would be 500,000 angels fallen with Satan if they were message-based angels. Still seems far too high. Satan was a cherub and one of the Father's angels. The angels that fell with him were described as “his” angels. That would make them cherub angels.
